My Little Parisienne Box

I’m sure by now most of you will have heard of the ‘My Little Box’ company. They are a subscription box service with a bit of a difference, as they are lifestyle related, which I think makes them incredibly good value for money. They started off just sending to France and Japan, but now finally they have moved over to the UK – Yay! I’ve been looking for a subscription box for a while now, and as I had to recently stop getting my Graze boxes for dietary reasons, I really wanted something to replace that. Although this box only comes out once a month (rather than the every other week I was getting a Graze box) I still think it’s a good substitute. I received my first box recently and thought you might like to see what I got inside.

It arrived in this very plain looking brown box, and before I opened it I actually wondered what it was as I couldn’t remember ordering anything, so it was quite exciting! On the inside lid of the brown box was this cute little saying ‘Paris is always a good idea,’ which I think is so true! The September box had a Parisienne theme and I just thought the box was beautiful. It was so well made and had a gorgeous illustration on the front. I’m actually going to keep it and perhaps make a special box to send to a friend.

When you open the box you are presented with the most beautifully wrapped goodies I have ever seen. I seriously didn’t want to undo the ribbon (and actually left it for quite a while) because it just looked so darn pretty!

The first thing I found when I undid the ribbon was a really cute A5 notebook, with another beautiful illustration on the front. I know you usually get a magazine in these boxes, but I think this month had the notebook instead, so I’m looking forward to seeing what the magazine is like next month. The first few pages of the notebook are full of words and illustrations, introducing the company and telling you a bit about the story of the My Little Box company.

Underneath the notebook was a gorgeous illustrated A5 card, with a short verse on it, and also some Paris related stickers. The stickers are going to come in so handy for when I write to my pen pals, and I think the art would look great in a little frame next to my desk. I think it’s such a lovely idea and I really hope they might do some more in future boxes, as they’d be a lovely thing to collect or send to friends.

Next up in the box was a lovely cotton bag printed with bowties and My Little Box. It is such good quality and will be great to use for make-up products or any other little trinkets you want to keep safe. Inside the bag was a selection of make-up items, which I was really excited about because they were all such generously sized samples. There was a Laura Mercier foundation primer, which I’m looking forward to trying because I don’t tend to use a primer at the moment. There was also Nuxe dry oil for face, body and hair, which will be really interesting to use, as it’s not a brand I’ve heard much about before. And finally there was a Stylo Lumiere from My Little Beauty, which is the My Little Box’s own make-up range. I’m particularly excited to try this out as I know you can buy their beauty products from their website and it’s always fun to find new brands to try.

The last thing I found in my box this month was wrapped up in a cute piece of cardboard, which said ‘Geek is the new Sexy’. I wasn’t quite sure what it was at first glance, but as it unravelled I realised it was a laptop sleeve, which is so much fun. I recently bought a new laptop for college, so this couldn’t have come at a better time! It’s nice and padded with a cute illustration on the front, and has plenty of space for my little laptop to sit in it.

So, that’s everything that came in My Little Parisienne Box this month and I’ve got to say I’m really impressed by it. I’m already so excited about next month’s box and I’ve been watching lots of French videos on YouTube to see what has made it into other boxes!

I have also made a video about the box if you're interested in taking a look...

Are you a fan of My Little Box? Or is there another subscription box that you would recommend?
