My local shopping centre,
Festival Place in Basingstoke, is holding a Fashion Weekend on 1st and
2nd November 2014. I’m so sad that I’m not able to make it down
there, but they did ask me to put together a couple of outfits from my
favourite shops in Festival Place. I, of course, jumped at the idea to do some
imaginary shopping, and came up with two outfit choices.
My first outfit is more of
a smart option; so perfect for watching the catwalk shows at the shopping
centre. I chose this gorgeous grey swing dress, which is only £19.99 in New Look.
I’ve paired it with some warm black tights, also from New Look, and a beautiful
tartan blanket cape, again from New Look at a very reasonable £19.99. I thought
it looked so warm, yet still incredibly stylish. The New Look deep red boots,
£39.99, would give this outfit a pop of subtle colour along with the burgundy bag,
£29.99 from New Look. I love this colour in the autumn/winter months as I think
it really reflects the beautiful colours of the leaves on the trees outside. I
finished the outfit off with some cute Christmas earrings and a gold and pink
necklace, both from New Look. As you can see, I’m a big fan of New Look at the
moment – they have some brilliant outfit ideas for the colder month, which will
mean you can look stylish but still keep warm and cosy.
For my second outfit I
decided to go a bit more casual. Before we begin with the outfit itself, I
thought it was important to start with some cute underwear, and I absolutely
love these red reindeer knickers, £3.99 from New Look. I decided to go with a
pair of statement jeans, from Topshop’s Moto collection, and then paired them
with a snuggly Fairisle jumper, also from Topshop for £55. Over the top, I was
absolutely smitten with this stunning Topshop biker jacket with a fur collar,
which is perfect for the Autumn/Winter transition. I finished off this outfit
with a pair of River Island black boots, £38, and a Cream River Island bobble
hat, £12.
What would you choose from your local
shopping centre? Are you local to Festival Place and fancy going along to their
Fashion Weekend?
