In my life this week…
Change of College course
On Tuesday I had my
induction at college, which was quite exciting but also very tiring. I came
home after and just crashed out on the sofa and fell asleep for the rest of the
afternoon! Thankfully I had the rest of the week off and I start properly on
Monday. We were introduced to all the staff we’ll be working with, had some ice
breakers with the rest of the students and, in the afternoon, we had some
computer tests to look out for things like dyslexia and to see if we might need
extra help. Originally I had chosen the Nursing and Midwifery pathway of the
Access to Higher Education Diploma, and my subjects were Biology, Psychology,
Sociology and Law. But over the summer a few changes have been made. The
pathway is now called the Allied Health pathway, Biology has had its name
changed to Human Physiology and Law has now been changed to Chemistry.
Apparently they have spoken to some Universities, who have said they’d prefer
more science, so we’ve all got to do Chemistry now. I’m slightly nervous about
this as I haven’t done Chemistry for years and I don’t find it particularly
easy, but I’m hoping that the teachers will start us from the beginning, and at
least we’re all in the same boat. I must say I’m pretty anxious about starting
tomorrow, but I’m hoping I’ll get into a routine over time and learn to pace
myself.

Red Hair
I’ve been waiting for ages
to get my hair dyed again, and finally this week I was able to head to my local
salon and get it done. I decided to go a bit redder than last time, in the hope
that it might last a bit longer. I love getting my hair done and was so pleased
with how it has turned out. I’m absolutely loving having my red hair again and
am using lots of colour saving products to try and keep it this red for as long
as possible.
YouTube
I’m usually such a bookworm
and love reading blogs as well, but just recently, I’ve really been struggling
with my concentration and can’t get the same enjoyment I once did out of
reading. I’m really sad about it because I love to read, but I’m hoping it’s
just a phase and perhaps related to my depression, so I’m keeping my fingers
crossed I will be able to get back into it at some point. However, just
recently I’ve been really getting into YouTube videos, and in particular
watching fellow vloggers. I’m seriously addicted and end up chilling out with
my iPad every evening to catch up on some of my favourite vloggers latest
escapades! Some of my favourites include the Saccone-Jolys, Zoella, Fleur de
Force, IntheFrow, Chloe Murray, Sprinkle of Glitter, Gabriella, Leanne Walker
and FayesFix. A lot of them also have second channels, so if you want to watch
a more structured video you can check out their main channel, or if you prefer
more informal vlogs, check out their second channel. I could seriously sit down
all day watching vlogs from these guys!
What has grabbed your attention this
week? I love hearing about people’s new discoveries and you may end up sharing
something that makes it onto my list next week!
