In my life this week…
Garden Centres
I love going to garden
centres. It’s not just about the flowers any more; these days they’re full of
gift ideas and yummy treats too. I had a hospital appointment on Tuesday, and
on the way back my parents and I stopped off at a local garden centre. I
borrowed a wheelchair and my Dad pushed me round as we looked at a variety of
plants, flowers, gifts and food. The sun was shining and it was just beautiful
being pushed through all the colourful flowers, smelling all the different
scents that lingered in the air. My parents wanted to look at furniture, so
after having a gorgeous cup of raspberry tea in the café, we had a browse
around. I also picked up a couple of beautiful fuchsias for our back garden, as
they’re one of my favourite plants.
New blog
You’ve probably already
noticed that my blog has had a massive makeover, and if you haven’t then where
have you been?! I am so happy with the finished product, and, after a couple
more tweaks, it will be good to go. I began by contacting the lovely Emily at
Jammy and Jelly as I’d seen her amazing illustrations on her blog and Facebook and knew that
she was the right person to help me with my blog. It’s not something she had
ever done before, but we worked together to come up with three illustrations,
which I am just over the moon with. Next came the blog design, and I went to
the lovely Jess at Dungarees and Donuts as I’d had a look at her past work and was really impressed with the projects
she’d completed. It was so easy to work with her – I simply gave her my ideas
and some examples of what I was hoping for, and within a couple of weeks my
blog had been given a complete facelift. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the
new layout so please do leave a comment.
Flowers in my hair
I’ve been wanting to get
myself a floral crown for ages because who doesn’t want to feel like a flower
fairy?! My problem has been that I can’t really get out to the shops much at
the moment, and I really wanted to try one on before I bought it. However, I
found this delicate crown on the Accessorize website and fell in love with it.
I decided to bite the bullet and order it, with the hope that it would suit me
and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m quite small, so I didn’t want something
too large that would overpower my head, and this is dainty and pretty enough to
look just right. What do you think?
Just as an aside – I’ve
uploaded another video to my YouTube channel and I’d love you to check it out!
What has grabbed your attention this
week? I love hearing about people’s new discoveries and you may end up sharing
something that makes it onto my list next week!
