When I think of Summer, the
thing that always comes to mind is the thought of relaxing in the sunshine with
a good book. I don’t know about you, but I always find it difficult to fit in
as much reading as I’d like, so when holidays come around there’s nothing I
want to do more than get stuck in a fantasy world constructed by my favourite
author. This gave me an idea…
I’ve been part of various
swaps recently, where you are assigned a theme and have to send someone a box
of goodies related to the theme. I find it great fun and a lovely way to get to
know new people, while being cheered up with some happy mail. So, I thought it
would be fun to run my own swap. I introduce you to ‘Jen’s Book Swap!’
If you’re interested in taking
part, the rules are as follows:
1.
You need to
live in the UK
2.
You must commit
to sending one book
3.
When you
receive your book, please post a photo on your chosen social media platform,
using #jensbookswap
To take part, please e-mail
me at jaffacat44@gmail.com with the
following information:
Name and Instagram/Twitter
Name:
Age:
Address:
E-mail:
Favourite genre and least
favourite genre:
You have until the end of
June (30th) to e-mail me, then after that I will match everyone up
and contact you with the person you need to send to and the date you need to
send it by.
You’re welcome to send a
letter/card with your book, or send more than a book if you so choose, but
sending just a book is fine. You can also decide whether you reveal your
identity or not. I think that’s everything, but feel free to ask any questions
and I look forward to you taking part.
While we’re talking about books, can
you recommend any good books for me to read?
sounds like a great idea! Can I claim to be from the U.K but use a American address?
ReplyDeleteHehe I'm afraid not Michael, as it wouldn't be fair for someone to have to pay more to send to America. Perhaps I'll have to organise an International swap at some point :)
DeleteSuch a great idea!
