Beat Awards FOTD

I’ve never done a Face of the Day post before, mainly because I’m pretty self-conscious about my face and I’m in no way an expert on make-up and beauty products! I have bags under my eyes that rival a large suitcase and am paler than Casper the friendly ghost! But, I decided that as I’d made so much effort to do my make-up for the Beat Volunteer Awards on Wednesday, I would show you the products I used and the end result.

As you can see, the majority of the products I used were by Benefit. What can I say? I’m a Benebabe through and through! I began with the Bad Gal Pencil to line my eyes, making them pop out and look more defined.

I then applied a thin layer of Big Easy, which was all I needed to cover blemishes and discolouration. For any blemishes that were still visible, I applied a small amount of Erase paste, which is fantastic for covering blemishes and dark circles, which I’m particularly self-conscious about.

After this, I applied the Porefessional over my nose and the area around it, which is where I have the most visible pores. I’d never used it before but am now 100% converted – it was brilliant and my pores almost completely disappeared!

To finish my look, I applied a slick of this gorgeous fuchsia lipstick from Avon, which is called Country Rose. It gave my lips a beautiful colour to go with my English rose complexion. And that was that – my look was completed and off I went to The Houses of Parliament!

Have you used any of these products? Or can you recommend any other products for my skin concerns?
