In my life this week…
Etsy
I know I’m a bit behind the
times with this, but just recently I’ve discovered the awesomeness that is
Etsy. I’ve known it’s existed for ages, but never really got round to looking
on it. But I’ve seen a few people on Instagram making lovely things, which they
said they were selling on Etsy, so I decided to take a look. Big mistake! I’m
now addicted and can’t stop browsing through all the beautiful hand made
products. I’ve placed a few orders for birthday gifts for friends and it’s so
nice to be able to buy unusual and personal gifts, rather than your usual
high-street items. If you haven’t already, I would definitely recommend giving
it a look – you won’t regret it (well, maybe your bank account will!)
Summer sales
Over the last week I’ve
started to see advertising for autumn on the TV and in my inbox. It’s scary to
think we are already on the downward climb to winter and the ‘C’ word, but one
thing that I love about this time of year is all the summer sales that are
about. 10%, 25% and even 70% off original prices – it’s the best time to stock
up on summer essentials like swim wear, shoes and floaty skirts. I’ve been
making the best of the sales and adding to my summer wardrobe with some
gorgeous maxi dresses and skirts. In fact I’ve now had to put a ban on myself
as my wardrobe is overflowing with summer clothes and I need to save some space
for the Autumn/Winter range!
Hair cut
I’ve been wanting to get my
hair cut for months. I’ve made several appointments, but every time I’ve had to
cancel on the day because I’ve been too unwell. However, this week I finally
managed to actually keep my appointment and get a trim at my favourite salon. I
also decided to go for a gloss and treatment, which was such a lovely
experience and left my hair full of shine and body. I only had a little taken
off the ends and a few layers put in, but it’s amazing how much nicer my hair
feels now. I’ve already booked another appointment for a six week’s time to get
my colour re-done, so I’m just hoping I’ll be well enough then too.
What has grabbed your attention this
week? I love hearing about people’s new discoveries and you may end up sharing
something that makes it onto my list next week!
Ah I love Etsy! So many individual unique things on there. I like the 'spotlight' post idea, I've been starting similar sorts of posts recently such as a 'discoveries' series!
ReplyDeleteIt's brilliant isn't it! Thank you I'm glad you like my post idea :) I always like to have a series going on my blog as I feel it gives some continuity xx
