I’ve been a big fan of Soap and Glory products
for more years than I can remember. I love their shower gels, body butters,
hand creams and body scrubs and the different scents they offer are just
divine. But up until recently I’d never delved into their make-up range. I
don’t really know why, considering how great their bath and body products are!
So recently I decided to place a little order and treated myself to a few bits
and pieces.
It wasn’t easy to choose which products to buy,
let me tell you! I spent ages swooning over everything from their Supercat Skinny Easy Precision Black Ink Eyeliner and Archery Brow Pencil to their One Heck Of A Blot Primer and Love At First Blush Multi-Shade Blushing Powder.
But eventually I managed to settle on three items (which I think was pretty
restrained for me!)
The first product I popped in my basket was the
Love At First Blush Highlight and Sculpt Cheek Stick,
£8.00 in Pink Pop and Pearl. I loved the idea of being able to apply a blush
and highlight in one, and think cream products give you such a beautiful dewy
finish. It’s hard to show in a photo, but hopefully you can see how gorgeous
and shimmery the product is, and this transfers really well onto the skin. It
blends easily and leaves me glowing and fresh-faced.
The next item I picked up was probably one of
Soap and Glory’s most infamous products; the Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss,
£9.00 in Rose and Shine. Now, I’ve never used a lip plumping product before, so
wasn’t quite sure what to expect. When I first applied it, I thought the colour
looked really pretty – kind of your lips but better, but that was it. I
wandered around for a few minutes feeling a bit disappointed – my lips didn’t
look any plumper or feel any different. And then the tingling started! It’s
very hard to describe how it feels, but it was like having lots of little
chillies dancing on my mouth. I can’t decide if I liked the sensation or not, but
I do think it helped my lips to look a bit fuller.
The final product I bought was actually
inspired by the lovely Lucy and Lydia after they mentioned it in one of their videos. The Kick Ass Just Bright Concealer,
£8.00 is marketed as a mini-marvel for tired, dull or stressed-looking skin,
which sounded perfect for me! Lucy and Lydia said it was particularly great for
under-eye dark circles, which is something I really struggle a lot with. The
idea is that it deploys tourmaline actives to reflect light and give your skin
a brighter, more radiant appearance. I’m yet to try this one out, but have high
hopes that it will make a difference to my skin and make me look more radiant
and bright.
I’m really pleased with my purchases and the
quality of the Soap and Glory range. It has definitely made me want to try out
more of their make-up range, and also some of their skincare pieces, as I’ve heard
some really great things about them too. I can’t wait to see what the future
holds for Soap and Glory and will be keeping my eyes open for any new launches.
Are you a Soap and Glory fan? What do you think
of their make-up range? Are there any products you would recommend?
Ooooh I'd love to hear more once you've tried the Kick-Ass Concealer! I struggle so much with dark under-eye circles and it sounds like exactly what I need! I've yet to try anything from Soap & Glory (*gasp* I know!), and I'm itching to pick some bits and pieces up
