Blogger of the Month - Stephanie Dreams

I really hope you’re enjoying this series of posts and that perhaps you’ve discovered a new blog or two to follow. It’s so hard to just pick one blogger a month because there are so many great bloggers out there – I’ve got a list longer than my arm of candidates for my blogger of the month award! If you have a particular blogger you’ve been loving recently, I’d love to hear about them.

So, let me introduce you to my March Blogger of the Month; Stephanie over at Stephanie Dreams Blog.

I discovered Steph’s blog a while ago and she’s been on my list of Blogger of the Month contenders for ages, so I’m really glad I’ve managed to get her blog up this month. I thought I would share with you just a few things that I love about Steph’s blog and I hope you will too.

Steph

Steph has been blogging since late 2009, and started off her blog as an online diary, which she says has now grown into her own special corner of the Internet. She comes across as a really lovely, down to earth lady with a passion for dogs that rivals my own!

Days Out

Steph, her husband and her gorgeous doggies like to go on pretty days out, walks and visits to various attractions, and she always takes such beautiful photos when she does. For someone who struggles to get out much because of her health, I feel I can live vicariously through Steph’s beautiful photographs!

Doggies

As I mentioned, Steph has the most gorgeous little menagerie of dogs, including her absolutely adorable chocolate spaniel called Severus. I adore seeing all her photos of her furry friends, both on her blog and on her Instagram. She always makes me want to take photos of our furries and I’m often feeling puppy broody for another little one!

Outfit posts

Steph loves a good outfit photo shoot and I find her style so inspiring, as it’s affordable yet fashionable. She always manages to find a nice backdrop for her outfits and you will often find me popping down to Primark to pick up something she has photographed!

Home bits

I love reading blogs of ladies who have their own homes, and Steph’s blog is no exception. I really enjoy seeing the little finishing touches she puts to her home, including beautifully scented candles, vases and canvas prints. So much inspiration for when I do eventually move out myself!

Gift ideas

Steph is great at finding cute and unique gift ideas, so I’m always popping onto her blog when an event or occasion is coming up to get some inspiration. From chocolate gift sets to home accessories, there is always an idea or two on her blog.

5 years of blogging

One particular post on Steph’s blog that I really enjoyed was her latest blog birthday post – she’s been blogging for 5 years now, which is just awesome! I thought her photo shoot was so cute with her balloons in the middle of beautiful woodland. Just shows what you can achieve if you work hard at something you love.

Disney times

One of my favourite things about Steph’s blog is her amazing love of everything Disney. When she got married there she had some awesome photo shoots done around the park, and if I’m ever feeling sad I always pop over to her blog to look at all the happy photos. They make me want to go to Disney even more every time I look at them, so if you’re a Disney fan I’d definitely recommend checking them out.

Amazing wedding

I’m a sucker for a good wedding, and Steph has the most beautiful photos from both her wedding at Disney and her wedding party back home. She looked absolutely beautiful in her dress and head garland and she has so many Pinterest worthy photos that I’ve been saving for inspiration (OK, I need to find a man first, but a girl can dream right?!)

So, that just about sums up my Blogger of the Month for March. Steph is also on YouTube, which is fantastic, so I’d definitely recommend searching for her if you enjoy her blog. Blogger of the Month - Carrie Brighton

I really hope you’re enjoying this series of posts and that perhaps you’ve discovered a new blog or two to follow. It’s so hard to just pick one blogger a month because there are so many great bloggers out there – I’ve got a list longer than my arm of candidates for my blogger of the month award! If you have a particular blogger you’ve been loving recently, I’d love to hear about them.

So, let me introduce you to my February Blogger of the Month; Carrie over at Carrie Brighton.

I discovered Carrie’s blog a while ago and she’s been on my list of Blogger of the Month contenders for ages, so I’m really glad I’ve managed to get her blog up this month. I thought I would share with you just a few things that I love about Carrie’s blog and I hope you will too.

Carrie

Carrie describes herself as a coffee drinking, cake baking, instagramming, dog walking, photo taking life explorer with a passion for all things lovely and this certainly comes across on her blog! I’ve had the pleasure of chatting to Carrie briefly a couple of times and she really is such a lovely lady who exudes positivity and kindness.

Organising

Carrie is a girl after my own heart in that she loves to organise and plan – she even has 2 planners: a Filofax and a Kikki K planner! She takes beautiful photos of the planners she uses and always gives me so much inspiration for my own organisation.

Make-up

Like most of us bloggers, Carrie loves a bit of nice make-up, and I’m always checking out her posts for recommendations on make-up that not only looks good on, but also has pretty packaging as well! She’s a big Mac fan, which only fuels my habit more, but I can forgive her, as she’s so nice!

Accessories

If you’re a fan of pretty things then you will definitely enjoy some of Carrie’s posts, as she loves to share gorgeous accessories, bags and shoes with us on a regular basis. She is really into pastel colours paired with gold, and photographs the most beautiful set-ups of her new finds.

Gorgeous doggies

As an animal lover myself, I am always swayed by a blogger who loves their animals as much as I do. I love keeping an eye on Carrie’s Instagram for photos of her two gorgeous doggies – they’re just so darn photogenic!

Home wear

Carrie has really similar taste to me when it comes to home wear – clean white furniture adorned with pretty flowers, pastel decorations and cute accessories. Her beautiful photos put my messy desk to shame, and I’m always lusting over her Pinterest-ready photos of different areas of her home.

Books

If you’re a regular reader then I’m sure you will have worked out that I’m a bi of a bookworm, so to find another blogger who enjoys all the pretty things in life, alongside a good book, was a real catch. Her gorgeous photos makes me want to read the books she talks about even more, and I’m adding to my ever growing bookshelf every time a new post goes up!

Outdoor photography

I know I keep commenting on Carrie’s beautiful photography, but it really is worth writing home about. I especially love the photos she takes of everyday scenes outside, in the beautiful countryside, sometimes with a crisp frost lining the grass and a golden sunshine peeking through the trees – perfect.

Hauls

I love nothing more than a good haul post and Carrie does a good job of fulfilling my needs! I love the fact that she always shows us a variety of products, rather than all of the same sort of thing, which makes for much more interesting viewing. We’ll ignore the fact that my bank balance isn’t quite so happy about these posts and bask in the knowledge that there are so many beautiful things out there.

Trips Out

It’s always fun to see what other people get up to and what their local area looks like, so I always look forward to Carrie’s photos of her trips out. She goes on lovely walks with her doggy friends and manages to take such beautiful and interesting photos every time she goes.

Nails

You can’t beat a pretty nail, and Carrie has a great way of choosing gorgeous colours and effects every time she posts a photo. This one in particular made me feel so Christmassy and tempted me to buy the same nail polish!

Candles

A girl after my own heart, Carrie also loves scented candles, with Yankee candles being a firm favourite. I think there’s nothing better than getting in out of the cold and lighting a pretty candle, and Carrie’s photos always make me feel so cosy and warm.

Coffee

If you’re a coffee fan then I can tell we’re going to get on well, and Carrie is certainly a coffee fan. Like with her candle photos, her pictures of cups of coffee often fill my Instagram feed, tempting me to head out to my nearest coffee shop and indulge in a creamy latte, or to simply curl up with a blanket and a book in front of the fire.

Positivity

Carrie prides herself on spreading positivity through her blog posts, and I think she does an excellent job. I’ve never heard her moan or say a bad thing about anyone, and I think it’s so nice to have something happy and comforting to read when there is so much bad stuff going on in the world.

So, that just about sums up my Blogger of the Month for February. Sadly Carrie is not on YouTube (as far as I know) but I would certainly be watching her videos if she was! Blogger of the Month - Briar Rose Blog

I really hope you’re enjoying this series of posts and that perhaps you’ve discovered a new blog or two to follow. It’s so hard to just pick one blogger a month because there are so many great bloggers out there – I’ve got a list longer than my arm of candidates for my blogger of the month award! If you have a particular blogger you’ve been loving recently, I’d love to hear about them.

So, let me introduce you to my January Blogger of the Month; Megan over at Briar Rose Blog.

I discovered Megan’s blog a while ago and I don’t know why I haven’t made her my blogger of the month sooner, because hers is one of my favourite ever blogs to read! She also produces YouTube videos as well, so covers my interest from all angles!

Megan

Megan comes across as such a lovely person and is definitely someone I would love to be friends with! She’s 22, an aspiring YA novelist, occasional model (isn’t she gorgeous?!) and lives with her husband in their University town of Bath, with her parental home being in Cornwall.

Fashion

I am absolutely in love with Megan’s style and sense of fashion. I get the impression my body shape is quite similar to hers, and I have got no end of inspiration from her fashion posts. I really struggle to dress for my body shape, but discovering Megan’s blog has opened my eyes into a whole new way of dressing. She chooses beautifully made fabrics and colours that you can’t help but be taken in by.

Cute accessories

Megan is definitely a girl after my own heart when it comes to accessories – the cuter and more individual the better! Over the last few months she has showcased everything from a Russian Doll bag to plenty of quirky and fun hair accessories from Crown andGlory.

Cute cat

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you will know by now that I’m a big cat lover, so seeing photos of Megan’s gorgeous kitty cat, who lives with her parents, never fails to make me smile!

Product reviews

I always enjoy reading reviews from bloggers – it’s the first place I go to for information and thoughts on pretty much anything! I really enjoy Megan’s reviews because she looks at such an eclectic mix of products and takes such beautiful photographs of them in the process.

Amazing red hair

You can’t read Megan’s blog, or watch her videos, without noticing her waves of beautiful red hair. As a fellow red-head, I am totally inspired by it and definitely dream of my hair being that long and lustrous one day!

Love of afternoon tea

I know I’ve found a person I will click with when I find out they love afternoon tea! Megan loves to share her fondness for cakes, tea and sandwiches with her beautiful photographs and lyrical words.

Cosplay

Before reading Megan’s blog, I had never really heard of Cosplay and now I’m wondering why I waited until now to know about it! The thought of being able to dress up as a Disney Princess fills me with absolute joy, and it’s something I would really like to look into doing at some point. Megan makes the most amazing costumes – look out in the future for her completely hand-made Elsa costume – it’s amazing!

Beautiful wedding photos

Just over a year ago, Megan married her sweetheart in what I can only describe as my perfect wedding ceremony. I was entranced by her beautiful photos, the outfits, decorations and just about everything else. Definitely going to be pinning some of those photos onto my Pinterest wedding board!

Baking

Like myself, Megan feels most at home baking in her gorgeous kitchen, and I love keeping up-to-date with her latest recipes for scrummy looking cakes and sweet treats.

Gorgeous round ups

I especially love it when Megan posts a round up of photos over on her blog – she takes the most beautiful and colourful photos, so having them all in one place is a real treat for the eyes!

YouTube

I’m really getting into watching and using YouTube at the moment, so I’m extra happy that Megan makes videos as well. She took part in Vlogmas in December, which I might have let out a little squee about – a video every day! What more could you possibly want?!

Blogger of the Month - SoFairIsShe

I really hope you’re enjoying this series of posts and that perhaps you’ve discovered a new blog or two to follow. It’s so hard to just pick one blogger a month because there are so many great bloggers out there – I’ve got a list longer than my arm of candidates for my blogger of the month award! If you have a particular blogger you’ve been loving recently, I’d love to hear about them.

So, let me introduce you to my December Blogger of the Month; Charlie Joe over at SoFairIsShe.

I first discovered Charlie via her YouTube channel, which I’m really enjoying following at the moment! Charlie tends to upload more often on YouTube, but she does occasionally update her blog as well, so I like to follow both, and thought I’d share with you a few things that make her a blogger to watch.

Charlie

Charlie is a friendly and warm 19-year-old from Suffolk, studying fashion in London and her personality comes across really well, both through her blog and on her YouTube channel. She seems like a really likeable person, which is probably why I enjoy watching her videos so much, because I feel like I can really relate to her.

Make-up reviews

Like most of us bloggers, Charlie loves make-up, and she does some brilliant reviews on both her blog and YouTube channel. Her photos are beautiful and really capture what the make-up is like, which isn’t always the easiest thing to do when it comes to make-up.

Eating out

Being a student, Charlie likes to enjoy student life by eating out in nice bars and restaurants. Her blog post about her visit to Bill’s restaurant particularly swayed me, as one has just opened up near me and I’ve heard they are quite good at doing gluten free options. Her photos definitely did the yummy food justice and I can’t wait to try it out for myself!

Shopping

I think I can particularly relate to Charlie’s love of shopping and she enjoys sharing her hauls on YouTube for us all to see. She also gets invited to exclusive events, so it’s always fun to see what she’s been up to recently.

Blogging

I always find it interesting to hear about other people’s experiences of blogging, so I was interested to read Charlie’s post about her return to blogging after having a break. I’m really hoping she might do some future posts about her experiences of blogging and perhaps pass on some of her experience to the rest of us.

Travel

Charlie recently did a really helpful post about what she takes with her when she’s travelling – kind of like a ‘What’s in my Bag’ but for travels. I really like this kind of post, possibly because I’m so nosy! But it’s always fun seeing what other people carry around with them in their bag.

Outfits

Some of my favourite posts on Charlie’s blog are those when she shares her favourite new outfits. I always find these types of posts helpful in finding things for myself to wear, and we seem to have a similar taste in fashion so I feel that I can look to her for inspiration. Her photos are natural and inspiring, which really help to lift the posts off the page.

Make-up tutorials

I have to admit I’m still pretty new to the whole make-up thing. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used make-up since I was in my early teens, but I’ve only ever stuck to very plain and natural looks and always stuck with what I know. But since I’ve started blogging I’m trying to become more adventurous with the products I use, so I particularly liked Charlie’s make-up tutorial for this gorgeous glittery eye. After all, who can resist a bit of glitter?!

Videos

Although Charlie is a blogger, she mainly vlogs these days, and YouTube is the best place to keep up with her. I absolutely love her relatable videos about everything from fashion and beauty to her daily life. I’m always checking back on YouTube to see if she’s uploaded a new video and always make time to watch them when she has.
