Printiki Photo Printing Review*

I love to take photos. If you know me well, follow my Instagram, or if you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll probably realise that taking photos is a massive part of my life. I love to capture precious memories, but also day-to-day things that I would otherwise forget. I think this love of photos came from my parents – my Dad has always been interested in photography, and his Dad (my Grandpa) was also a keen photographer. And from the day I was born, my Mum started making up albums of family photographs that my siblings and I loved (and still love!) to flick through. I did the same, until I was given my first digital camera - I stopped printing out my photos and they just sat on my computer. I always think it’s such a shame to have hundreds of special memories lost in cyberspace, so I was really excited when Printiki contacted me and asked if I would like to review their photo printing service.

I’ve tried a couple of photo printing apps and websites in the past, but it’s always good to find more and look for good deals. They kindly gave me a voucher to print out 30 photos, but in the end I actually ended up paying for more, which is testament to how much I liked their service. I’ve wanted to make up scrapbooks of both of my brothers’ weddings from last summer, so decided to print out photos from David and Emma’s using this voucher. I also picked up this cute scrapbook from Paperchase, which I thought summed up the celebrations perfectly!

I found the website really simple to use, with easy to understand instructions. You can use Printiki on any device, from a laptop or desktop computer to an iPad or Smartphone. There are four different categories of products you can print – Retro prints, Normal prints, Books and Posters. The Retro and Normal prints can then be selected in a range of different sizes and styles; the books come in a variety of different sizes whilst the posters can be printed in either small or medium sizes and in both portrait and landscape. So there’s plenty of options to choose from depending on the kind of style you are after. Prices vary depending on the type of photoproduct you are ordering, but I felt they were comparable with other photo printing services I’ve used.

My prints arrived really quickly despite only using their economy postage, which impressed me. And I was so happy with how they turned out. Some of them, due to the size and shape of the photo, have a white boarder, so I may trim those before putting them in my scrapbook. But the quality was perfect and the size I received (Square M) will be perfect for making my scrapbook, alongside other bits and bobs that I collected during the wedding. I will definitely be using Printiki again, probably to print out the photos from Richard and Lisa’s wedding! If you’d like to print some photos out with them too, head on over to their website and click ‘Print my Photos,’ which you will find in the top right corner of the webpage. If you’re a bit stuck on what to do with your photos once you’ve printed them, you can also have a look on the Printiki Instagram account for loads of ideas and inspiration. It’s got me wanting to try all sorts of creative projects!

Do you print out your photos at all? What do you think of Printiki? Or is there another service you would recommend?

*Printiki kindly gave me a voucher to cover 30 Square M photos, but I also bought more with my own money. All opinions are my own and I only review things on my blog that I would genuinely try myself
